Dollar General Hit With Gay Man’s Bias, Retaliation Claims

Dolgencorp LLC is facing allegations from a former exmployee that the company, which does business as Dollar General, violated Title VII.

Brian Guimond, a 34-year-old Caucasian gay man, says Dollar General discriminated against him based on his gender and sexual orientation and retaliated against him after he complained about the discrimination.

Guimond alleges a district manager made derogatory comments about his sexuality, wrongly sought to implicate him in cash shortages at a store whose management he had just assumed, and worked to get him fired.
