DOL, Nursing Home Operator Reach Deal to End Fair Wages Case

The Department of Labor and a Missouri nursing home operator have agreed to a deal that ends a fair pay wage case over claims the company didn’t compensate workers during meal breaks.

Levering Regional Health Care Center LLC and its healthcare management company, Reliant Care Management Co., agreed to pay DOL $380,000 in a consent judgment signed by the parties Thursday. The parties request that the court stay the case and retain jurisdiction over it to make sure the judgment’s terms are enforced.
