DOGE’s Attempt to Fire Inter-American Foundation CEO Illegal

The Trump administration’s Department of Government Efficiency’s attempts to fire the president of the Inter-American Foundation and dismantle the international community development program is illegal and void, a federal district court ruled.

IAF President and CEO Sara Aviel established that DOGE’s attempt to fire her is in violation of the US Constitution’s separation of powers and the Administrative Procedure Act, Judge Loren L. AliKhan said in an opinion Thursday.

AliKhan granted Aviel’s motion for summary judgment in the US District Court for the District of Columbia.
