DOGE Data-Access Order Hit With Skepticism From Fourth Circuit

A skeptical appellate panel Monday had questions about the court’s role in government oversight for Treasury and Education Department union members who are suing to withhold access to sensitive personal data from Elon Musk’s DOGE.

American Federation of Teachers attorney John L. Schwab was pressed by two of the three US Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit panel judges during oral argument to identify the limits of the court’s role in overseeing the government’s internal operations and its management of data.
