Plans to build an aerial gondola connecting Dodger Stadium and Los Angeles’ Union Station were put on ice Thursday, with a California appeals panel finding the project’s environmental study inadequate.
The L.A. County Metropolitan Transportation Authority needs to analyze ways to mitigate the impact of construction noise and consult with the Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy before the project can be reapproved, according to the 119-page unpublished opinion Thursday by Justice Anne H. Egerton. Otherwise, the court found unpersuasive most of the plaintiffs’ challenges to the environmental report.
