Doctor’s Suit Over Rhode Island Vaccine Rules Is Nixed on Appeal

A Rhode Island oral surgeon lost his bid Friday to sue state officials for shutting down his practice after he spoke out against Covid-19 vaccine mandates.

Judge Sandra L. Lynch, of the US Court of Appeals for the First Circuit, said that Rhode Island Gov. Daniel McKee (D) and other state officials were immune from Stephen Skoly’s lawsuit seeking damages against the officials for enforcing vaccine requirements against the surgeon.
