Distributor Hits Campbell’s Co. With Class, Collective Wage Suit

A distributor working for The Campbell’s Co. and its acquired company Snyder’s-Lance filed a proposed class and collective action alleging the companies misclassified him and other distributors as independent contractors rather than employees, in violation of federal and state wage laws.

“Campbell’s Snacks deploys an independent contractor misclassification scheme to cheat its employees, its competition, and the state and federal governments,” according to a complaint filed by Andrew Moskowitz Thursday with the US District Court for the District of Connecticut.
