Widower Drops Suit Over Food Allergy Death at Disney World

A Walt Disney World subsidiary and a restaurant within the park will no longer face a wrongful death lawsuit involving a woman who died from an allergic reaction after her husband voluntarily dismissed the claim on Friday.

Jeffrey Piccolo, who is the representative of his deceased wife’s estate, filed a notice of voluntary dismissal with prejudice in Florida state court. Piccolo sued Walt Disney Parks and Resorts US Inc., which does business as Disney Springs, after Kanokporn Tangsuan had a fatal allergic reaction following their meal at a restaurant called Raglan Road Irish Pub.
