Disney, Netflix, Hulu Argue Texas Law Bolsters No Fee Argument

TV streaming giants Hulu LLC, Netflix Inc., and Disney Platform Distribution Inc. urged a state appeals court to finally slam shut a bid to charge them for distributing content, saying a recent change in Texas law expressly excluding them from municipality utility fees only confirms their position.

During oral arguments Tuesday, the companies faced off with 31 municipalities that want to charge them for using broadband facilities on land that they manage.
