Dish Network Employees Advance Lawsuit Over 2023 Data Breach

Dish Network Corp. must face several claims of a class action alleging it negligently failed to protect the personal information of millions of customers and hundreds of thousands of current and former employees that was exposed in a February 2023 data breach.

Three of the named plaintiffs showed they suffered concrete injuries sufficient for standing to due in federal court, and adequately stated claims of negligence, negligence per se, breach of implied contract, and declaratory judgment, Judge Regina M. Rodriguez of the US District Court for the District of Colorado said Sept. 27.
