Dish Beats Securities Lawsuit Over Delayed 5G Network Rollout

Dish Network Corp. won its bid to dismiss a class action alleging the company made misleading statements related to its development and deployment of a wireless network.

The investors’ allegations “simply do not support a conclusion that the statements were false when made, as required, and Defendants acted with scienter, particularly under the stringent pleading requirements” of the Private Securities Litigation Reform Act, Judge Gordon P. Gallagher, of the US District Court for the District of Colorado, wrote in a Thursday order.
