DirecTV Owes Technicians Job Site Travel Pay, Suit Alleges (1)

DirecTV LLC failed to pay technicians and installers for time spent driving company vehicles from their homes to their first job sites and back after work, according to a complaint filed Tuesday in federal court in Montana.

The cable provider requires workers to transport DirecTV vehicles and equipment to customer job sites, but “systematically fails to pay” for travel time to the first site of the day and from the last, technician Daniel Biggs alleges in the US District Court for the District of Montana.
