DirecTV Agrees to Settle Class Lawsuit Over Unsolicited Calls

DirecTV LLC has agreed to a settlement in a class action alleging it made telemarketing calls to consumers listed on the National Do Not Call Registry in violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, according to a federal court filing.

The parties have signed a term sheet to be proposed to the court by March 24, attorneys for the plaintiffs said in a Jan. 30 notice filed in the US District Court for the Northern District of West Virginia.

No details of the settlement were included in the notice, and attorneys for the parties didn’t respond immediately to a request ...
