Diesel Brothers Makers Must Pay $11.8 Million Over Infringement

Makers of the Discovery Channel reality television show Diesel Brothers must pay $11.8 million to Diesel SpA, an Italian clothing brand, after a court found them liable for trademark infringement.

Judge Jennifer L. Rochon of the US District Court for the Southern District of New York partially granted Diesel SpA’s motion for summary judgment on the issue of damages against Diesel Power Gear LLC, but reduced the requested damages by 80% after determining a $59 million award based on net sales would be “excessive.”
