DeSantis Beats Lawsuit Over Martha’s Vineyard Migrant Flights

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) escaped a federal lawsuit Monday from a group alleging constitutional violations when he and other state officials sent plane loads of immigrants to Martha’s Vineyard.

Judge Allison D. Burroughs of the US District Court for the District of Massachusetts granted DeSantis’ and other state officials’ motion to dismiss, saying nonprofit Alianza Americas failed to establish Massachusetts’ jurisdiction in the case. It’s the second time group had its complaint dismissed since filing suit in September 2023.
