A Florida state health lawyer who resigned his job in protest says Gov. Ron DeSantis’ legal team pressured him to send letters threatening litigation against local TV stations airing advertisements supporting an abortion ballot measure.
“I resigned from my position as General Counsel in lieu of complying with directives” from DeSantis’ (R) lawyers “to send out further correspondence to the media outlets,” John Wilson, former Florida Department of Health lawyer said in an affidavit filed Monday in the US District Court for the Northern District of Florida.
