Dermatology Clinics’ $2.4 Million Breach Deal Gets Initial Nod

Maryland-based Anne Arundel Dermatology PA would pay $2.4 million to settle a proposed class action alleging it negligently failed to protect the personal information of more than 1.9 million people that was exposed in a 2025 data breach, under a deal given initial approval in federal court.

Class members would be able to receive up to $5,000 in compensation for out-of-pocket losses related to the breach, or an alternative cash payment of around $100, according to the plaintiffs’ motion for preliminary approval of the settlement.
