Depo-Provera Brain Tumor Suits Consolidated, Sent to Florida

The US Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation on Friday consolidated dozens of lawsuits alleging Pfizer Inc. hid a link between its injectable contraceptive Depo-Provera and a risk of developing brain tumors.

The panel sent the lawsuits to the US District Court for the Northern District of Florida and assigned Judge M. Casey Rodgers to the litigation.

  • The litigation encompasses 27 complaints across eight districts; the panel said it was also aware of 41 related actions pending in 15 districts
