Denial of Privilege in Project Veritas Biden Diary Case Affirmed

Federal prosecutors may access hundreds of documents seized from Project Veritas employees and its founder as part of an investigation into the 2020 theft of a diary belonging to Ashley Biden, then-presidential candidate Joe Biden’s daughter, the Second Circuit said.

Spencer Meads, who was at the time an investigative journalist with the outlet founded by a right-wing activist, claimed that a special master appointed to review the documents applied incorrect legal standards and otherwise erred in assessing whether the documents were privileged. But the US Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit disagreed, finding no abuse of discretion.
