Delta Defeats Job Bias Claims by Flight Attendant With Leukemia

A former Delta Airlines Inc. employee lacks proof that she was fired because she has leukemia and sought an accommodation for her condition, a Brooklyn federal judge ruled.

Kimberly Turner also couldn’t prove she was denied an accommodation for her disability, the US District Court for the Eastern District of New York said in granting summary judgment on her claims under the Americans with Disabilities Act. The court dismissed Turner’s related claims under New York state and city laws, but without prejudice to her pursuing them in state court.
