Dell Hit With Suit Over Breach Affecting Millions of Customers

Computer maker Dell Inc. failed to protect the personal information of millions of customers that was exposed in a data breach announced May 9, a proposed federal class action said.

John Lattimore alleged that Dell breached its obligations to provide adequate data-security measures, properly maintain its systems and software, encrypt sensitive data, and provide timely and adequate notice to affected people.
