Delaware Governor’s Top Legal Counsel Named Chancery Magistrate

Delaware’s Court of Chancery has added term-limited Gov. John Carney’s (D) chief legal counsel as one of two additional judicial officers tasked with helping manage the business court’s heavy caseload.

Danielle Gibbs joined the court as a Magistrate in Chancery on Monday, according to a statement. Chancellor Kathaleen St. Jude McCormick, the court’s chief judge, said Gibbs’s experience working in “some of the highest legal positions in the state” will make her “an immediate asset to the court.”
