Bonnie W. David will join the seven-member panel at the top of the Delaware Chancery Court to replace a judge who’s retiring next month, the state Senate confirmed Monday.
David, currently serving as a Magistrate in Chancery, will succeed Vice Chancellor Sam Glasscock III, whose retirement is scheduled Jan. 7.
Her focus in the high-profile venue for corporate litigation will remain fixed on giving every litigant before her equal consideration, she said at a Senate committee hearing. “I pay no attention to whether the matters that I’m handling are finding themselves in the headlines,” she said.
