Plaintiffs have dropped their proposed class action alleging car-dealership software provider V12 Software Inc. negligently failed to protect their personal information that was exposed in a 2024 data breach.
The company appears to be a defunct corporation, its counsel has withdrawn from the litigation, and the company’s owner is unable to be located, the plaintiffs said in a status report filed Aug. 13 in the US District Court for the Northern District of California.
