Deere’s Jury Trial Loss in Patent Suit Against AGCO Will Stand

Deere & Co. failed to revive its claims against AGCO Corp. and its Precision Planting LLC unit that their seed meters and seed-delivery system infringe two patents related to high-speed, accurate seed placement and spacing.

Deere failed to show that it’s entitled to judgment as a matter of law overturning a July 8 jury finding that Precision’s SpeedTube and vSet2 products and the new AGCO planters that contain them don’t infringe either of two Deere patents, Judge Colm F. Connolly of the US District Court for the District of Delaware ruled Tuesday.
