Dechert Accused in Civil RICO Suit of Hacking Aviation Executive

Dechert LLP has been accused of being a “central figure” in a civil RICO conspiracy to hack the confidential computer data of an airline operator, according to a federal lawsuit filed in New York.

Farhad Azima, an Iranian-American aviation executive, previously said in a North Carolina lawsuit that Dechert had hired a private investigator who hired hackers from India to steal documents from him. Dechert wasn’t a named party in that suit, but is the lead defendant in a complaint filed Thursday at the US District Court for the Southern District of New York.
