Receivables Performance Management LLC will pay $5.6 million to settle allegations it negligently failed to protect the personal information of nearly 3.8 million people that was exposed in a 2021 data breach.
Members of the nationwide class of breach victims will be eligible for reimbursement of their out-of-pocket expenses related to the incident, including losses from instances of identity theft, the cost of credit-monitoring services, and other miscellaneous expenses, according to the plaintiffs’ motion for final settlement approval.
