Three Dallas College professors alleging the school violated their due process and First Amendment rights after changing its employment contract scheme, saw their suit dismissed in federal court over jurisdictional issues.
The professors failed to allege an injury in fact under Article III of the US Constitution and therefore didn’t have standing, Senior Judge Sidney A. Fitzwater said Tuesday for the US District Court for the Northern District of Texas. Fitzwater dismissed the federal claims and declined supplemental jurisdiction over the state claims.
