The US owes a Texas hospital about $6.5 million for testing and treating uninsured people for Covid-19, according to a federal court complaint.
The Department of Health and Human Services and the Health Resources and Services Administration arbitrarily refused to reimburse Sana Healthcare Carrollton for 285 claims made on a day when a technical glitch in an HHS payment portal resulted in their denial, the hospital says in a complaint filed Thursday in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Texas.
