Fantasy sports service Underdog Sports LLC is seeking a court order blocking California Attorney General Rob Bonta (D) from issuing an opinion this week that would outlaw certain daily fantasy sports games.
The request for a temporary restraining order, filed in the California Superior Court of Sacramento County, said Bonta’s opinion—slated for release as early as Thursday—"will poison a thriving industry that serves millions of Californians” and “will cast a legal cloud over companies that organize digital fantasy sport contests.”
