CVS Can’t Trim Worker Suit Over AI Use Under Lie Detector Law

A job applicant who says CVS Health Corp.'s use of AI-aided video-interview technology violates a Massachusetts’ ban on forced lie detector tests in employment decisions can pursue all of the claims in his proposed class lawsuit.

CVS Health and CVS Pharmacy Inc. weren’t entitled to dismissal of the job seeker’s claim that he was denied notice that it’s illegal for Massachusetts employers to require or administer lie detector testing as a condition of employment, the US District Court for the District of Massachusetts said.
