Customers Bancorp Investor Sues Over Risk Management Practices

A Customers Bancorp Inc. shareholder sued the bank, alleging that it was engaged in unsafe banking practices that ultimately damaged its stock when revealed to the public.

The shareholder said that Customers Bancorp failed to timely disclose to investors that it lacked sufficient risk management practices, including when managing digital assets, according to the proposed class action filed Monday in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. The shareholder, Chun Yao Chang, sued on behalf of a class of those who acquired Customers Bancorp securities between March 1 and Aug. 8, 2024.
