A Pennsylvania credit union was hit with a proposed privacy class action suit after a customer said it failed to sufficiently protect personally identifiable information.
First Commonwealth Federal Credit Union said on or about Aug. 2 that Joseph Ambrose-Manness, among others, were affected by a data breach detected in Jun. 27, according to the complaint filed in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. First Commonwealth determined that Ambrose-Manness’ data was accessed and exfiltrated, the complaint said.
