CUNY Sued Over Refusal to Disclose Investment Information (1)

The City University of New York is being sued in state court for refusing to disclose information about its investment holdings and contracts with more than 30 companies, including Dell Technologies Inc., Lockheed Martin Corp., Chevron Corp., and Siemens AG.

The information could shed “critical light” on how the university is spending and investing public money and “support student efforts to advocate for CUNY’s divestment from certain companies implicated in Israel’s military campaigns,” says the lawsuit filed Friday in the New York Supreme Court.
