A former CUNY medical professor and the university agreed to settle claims that she faced discrimination and retaliation from the school after she complained about its handling of a “racially hostile” student, according to a federal court filing.

Faith Miller-Sethi—who was responsible for placing students in community-based health centers in New York City—alleged in a 2021 complaint that she faced discrimination and retaliation after complaining to the school about a student who was “openly hostile to the racial makeup” of communities targeted by the program and refused to accept placement in the Bronx because she was not “comfortable” working ...
