CSL Plasma Pregnancy Bias Case Reaches Settlement, Avoids Jury

CSL Plasma dodged a jury trial review of retaliation claims from a former phlebotomist who says she was terminated seven weeks after requesting maternity leave.

The action has settled, but Magistrate Judge William E. Cassady notified the parties that they have 45 days to finalize the agreement, said Judge Kristi K. DuBose of the US District Court for the Southern District of Alabama in an order dismissed the case without prejudice May 16.
