CSL Plasma, Fired Phlebotomist Headed for Pregnancy Bias Trial

A jury must decide if CSL Plasma terminated a phlebotomist for violating its policy on recording phone conversations or because she was pregnant and asked about maternity leave, an Alabama federal court ruled.

Evidence shows a different senior phlebotomist at the CSL Plasma center where Trinity Simpson worked asked Simpson to make the recording and then did it herself when Simpson declined to do so, the US District Court for the Southern District of Alabama said.
