Crypto Company to Face Ex-Worker’s Pregnancy Discrimination Suit

A former director at Australian cryptocurrency company Immutable Pty. Ltd. can move forward with her claim that she was illegally fired because of her pregnancy after a district court ruling Monday.

Natalia Mazzuchelli brought the retaliation and discrimination claims under Title VII and the New York State Human Rights Law were sufficiently pleaded, Judge Nelson S. Román of the US District Court for the Southern District of New York ruled.

Mazzuchelli was hired as Immutable’s director of partner success in 2022 and was sexually harassed by her female boss soon after starting in her role, she said.
