Crypto Company Theta Labs Sued by Former Employees Over Fraud

A pair of former employees at Theta Labs Inc. sued the crypto company and its CEO over a series of pump-and-dump schemes for various crypto coins and nonfungible tokens involving misleading celebrity partnerships.

The complaints filed Tuesday in California Superior Court, Los Angeles County said that over the past few years, Theta Labs has engaged in a number of market manipulation schemes to increase the value of its crypto products that personally enriched its CEO Mitchell Liu.
