CrowdStrike Board Sued Over Cost of ‘Largest IT Outage’ Ever (1)

CrowdStrike Holdings Inc. faces reputational damage and significant legal risk as a result of a glitch in its cybersecurity software that caused millions of computers to crash, an investor says in a suit against the company’s leadership.

CrowdStrike’s losses also include overcompensating CEO George Kurtz, other members of the board, and chief financial officer Burt Podbere in light of their failure to adequately carry out their duties, shareholder Alisa Alfonsi says in the second such derivative suit against the company. She filed her complaint Wednesday in the US District Court for the Western District of Texas.
