Cristiano Ronaldo Faces Trial on Accuser’s Capacity to Settle

A woman alleging soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo raped her in a Las Vegas hotel in 2009 will get a trial over her assertion that she lacked the mental capacity ten years ago to settle those claims, the District of Nevada ruled.

The confidential settlement doesn’t require plaintiff Kathryn Mayorga to pursue her capacity challenge through arbitration because it raises the question whether any agreement between the parties was ever formed, the U.S. District Court for the District of Nevada said.
