Court Rejects VA Employee’s Discrimination Suit Against Agency

A federal court in Washington dismissed an employee’s disability discrimination suit against the US Department of Veterans Affairs.

Dytaun Montgomery, who has hearing loss in one ear, failed to show that any action was taken against her because of her disability or that her interactions with co-workers created a hostile work environment, Judge Rudolph Contreras said Wednesday for the US District Court for the District of Columbia, granting the defendant’s motion for summary judgment.

Montgomery started working for the Washington D.C. Veterans Affairs Medical Center in 2015 as a human resources assistant with a General Schedule level six pay classification. ...
