Court Rejects Ex-Project Manager’s Work Environment Claims

A former project manager at electric company Duke Energy Progress LLC won’t get to proceed with part of his lawsuit after failing to sufficiently allege that his supervisor created a hostile work environment, a federal judge ruled.

The US District Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina dismissed without prejudice Nathaniel N. Torres’ hostile work environment claims against the company on Tuesday, concluding that he failed to allege ongoing discriminatory conduct to support that aspect of his Title VII and Section 1981 claims
