Court Pauses HHS, HUD Conditions on Domestic Violence Grants

The Trump administration is temporarily barred from requiring eight organizations to certify they won’t operate programs that advance diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts to get federal funding that supports domestic violence victims and homeless people.

The nonprofits challenging the new terms are likely to “suffer immediate and irreparable harm” absent a temporary restraining order, Judge Melissa R. DuBose of the US District Court for the District of Rhode Island said in a Monday order.
