Court Kills County Workers’ Title VII Case Over Covid Policies

Two employees for Hennepin County, Minn., failed to convince a federal appeals court to revive their civil rights lawsuit claiming they faced religious discrimination when they experienced adverse employment actions for refusing to adhere to Covid-19 vaccine and testing requirements.

Jacqueline Colson and Carrie Borgheiinck failed to properly allege facts supporting their claims under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, the US Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit said in a Wednesday opinion affirming the case’s dismissal.
