Court Warns Lawyers in IP Suit Over PrepMod Covid Software (1)

Attorneys for the Multi-State Partnership for Prevention LLC and a software programmer accused of registering a copyright for a Covid-19 clinical management system he didn’t create were warned that their unprofessional behavior could lead to sanctions.

Although there aren’t sufficient grounds to impose sanctions at this time, Magistrate Judge James M. Wicks of the US District Court for the Eastern District of New York cautioned the parties Wednesday that “any further unprofessional or rude behavior, misconduct or incivility towards each other will not be condoned.”
