A full-service corporate law firm must once again face a lawsuit over allegedly excessive fees in which it previously won nearly $500,000 after a New Jersey appeals court held that the lower court didn’t properly evaluate the evidence.
A commercial landlord identified as 3000 Kennedy Boulevard LLC, which owns a building in Jersey City, hired Parker Ibrahim & Berg LLP in connection with a lawsuit 3000 brought against a former client for allegedly failing to pay rent. 3000 lost that suit, and received a bill from the Parker firm for $496,000 plus interest.
