Corning Inc.'s decision to not hire a temporary worker in his 60s for regular employment in a Maine production facility needs review by a jury for potential age discrimination, a federal judge ruled.

Stephen Gaudette was eligible for conversion from temporary to regular status under company policy as he’d worked for 90 days after being placed by Staffmark in the Kennebunk plant’s molding department, the US District Court for the District of Maine said.
