Cook County Officers Denied Class Status in Covid-Cleaning Case

Cook County, Ill., correctional officers seeking to be paid for time they spent cleaning themselves, their clothes, cars, and equipment, before and after shifts at the jail in response to the Covid-19 pandemic aren’t entitled to pursue their claims as a class action, a federal court said.
