Convicted Murderer Alex Murdaugh Claims Clerk Tampered With Jury

Richard Alexander Murdaugh, the disbarred South Carolina lawyer found guilty in March of murdering his wife, Maggie, and son, Paul, says he’s found evidence of jury tampering.

Murdaugh moved to stay his pending appeal before the South Carolina Court of Appeals, asking for permission to file a motion for a new trial based on recently-discovered evidence that the Clerk of Court, Rebecca Hill, told jurors not to believe Murdaugh’s testimony or the defense’s evidence.
